Have you recently enclosed your outdoor patio in order to make it part of your actual home? If so, you are more than likely excited that you'll be able to use the enclosed patio during the entire year, where you probably used your outdoor patio only during good weather days. As you plan to decorate the enclosed patio, from buying vertical blinds to selecting the furniture, here are some ideas that might help you.

Vertical Blinds - For something very unique for the window treatments in your newly enclosed patio, consider buying vertical blinds, such as from Sylvan's & Phillip's. You might have seen vertical blinds in home decorating magazines, but have you seen them in real life? They're not only attractive, but they are very practical, too. You can select vertical blinds that look like dark wood or light wood, or you can select metal or plastic for the vertical blinds. All of them open and close easily, giving the room sunshine when you want it, or making it dark when you want to do something like watch a movie on your television set.

The great thing about vertical blinds is that they are very affordable and they will last a long time. They're easy to maintain, too. Just dust them with a feather duster or with a dust cloth while you're cleaning your patio furniture. If they need extra attention, you can wipe them clean with a damp rag and a gentle cleanser. Another great thing about vertical blinds is that they'll go with any theme you choose for your enclosed patio.

Patio Furniture - What kind of a look do you want in your enclosed patio? For example, if you want to keep a garden feeling in it, then choose something like wicker or rattan for the furniture. Choose upholstery that features things like flowers, butterflies and birds as the design. If you want a rustic look in your enclosed patio, consider buying wooden furniture. Denim, leather or sailcloth are all good choices for upholstery in a rustic setting.

How large is the patio? Is it large enough to add a couple of rocking chairs? For some real interest, consider hanging a bench swing from the ceiling. If you do select rocking chairs or a bench swing, select the kind that will complement the furniture that you selected. A floor to ceiling shelf would be great, too. It would be a perfect place to display things like framed family photographs and other collectibles.
